The Trinidad Renaissance School History

On the January 2nd 2002 The Renaissance Preparatory School opened in San Fernando with the first class of seven students. Today the school has grown to over 180 boys and girls receiving a unique form of education that nourishes all four aspects of the child; the spirit, emotional, mental and physical.

1995

­In 1995 the St James Children’s House opened in San Fernando offering pre-schooling for 2½ to 5 year olds. Run by The School of Philosophy it adopts the philosophical approach to education. After establishing the pre-school and effectively running it for six years coupled with the demand at the time, we decided to move to the next level of education namely the primary. So on January 2nd 2002 The Renaissance Preparatory School opened in San Fernando

2002

On January 2nd 2002 The Renaissance Preparatory School opened in San Fernando, using as its model St. James School in London, England, founded in 1975. At the time located in Vistabella Renaissance as it is now known started with 7 students in the first class now has grown to over 160 students.

2009

In 2009 Renaissance made history when its first group of seven graduates wrote the SEA national exams passing for all their first choices. They were affectionately know as the “lucky seven”…

2017

In July 2017 the Primary school relocated to Gordon Street San Fernando. ….
